Admission Exercices - 01

Thanks for applying to ISDI Coders! This is the beginning of an exciting journey!

Programming might sound daunting but we will help you get through it. To enter the academy you have to have an interview with our Admissions team. If you have previous experience, this precourse will be a breeze for you. If you are new to programming, don't worry, the precourse will help you get your feet wet, and as you progress in the program, we will teach you how to make amazing things.

It takes an average of 2-3 weeks for people to go through the pre-course. Taking the time to fully prepare yourself will increase your chances of ultimately being accepted into the program.

What to do?

In order to get through the precourse you should learn some of the fundamental programming patterns with Javascript:

  • Learn how to define a function or a variable (var)

  • Conditionals (if... else)

  • Accessing arrays and objects (arrays, objects)

  • Iterate over an array or loop (for)

Maybe you already know these structures in another language, but it's important to know how to work with them in Javascript.

You can practise them with the free exercises from Unit 1 through 5 at Codecademy.

If you want to read more about Javascript, you can read the two first lessons of Eloquent Javascript.

Enjoy :-)

(If you get stuck somewhere and nothing you tried seems to be working, you can contact our Instructors or call +34 93 176 0220 and we will help you).

Next steps

When you finish it, send an email to [email protected] and we will be sending the second batch of exercices.
